Choreuto

Horefto with its sandy beach is the seaport of Zagora (8 kilometers) and not unjustly considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the Eastern Pelion.Landscaping with orchards and plane trees that almost touch the wave is fascinating at first glance and justifiably inspired the renown Greek poet Georgios Drosinis to write one of his most famous poems, “Galini”.

Of course, in vain the visitor will seek out the “silence and quietness” in the daze of summer, says the poet. We live in the 21st century and things have changed quite a bit today, especially since tourism discovered this unique corner of Pelion and naturally left its imprint on this seaside location.

CHOREFTO, PELION

The beach of Horefto is sandy (thick sand and pebbles) and extends for about two kilometers. To the south while heading to the river, the shore is formed of thick pebbles and stones. Along the way there is a road that is naturally high in peak season (July 20-August 20).The cafes, restaurants and most of the rented rooms are to the right and left of the road, but also a little higher, on the green slopes of the mountain. On the north side of the beach a short trail that climbs for a few meters on the steep cliff, will easily bring you to the extraordinary Parisaina beach which is considered and is the natural continuation of the beach of Horefto to the North.

Parisaina is a beach on the eastern side of Pelion towards the Aegean Sea. It is located next to the village of Horefto and it is at 8 km far from the village of Zagora. Untouched nature with dense vegetation as the green literally falls on the sand creating an exotic feel and a magnificent view. It is ideal for day trips to the mountains (Kissos, Zagora) or to the neighboring beaches (Turkopigi, Analipsi, Agioi Saranta). The beach is nudist and the coast is sand and the bottom is pebbly. It is a pristine beach of exceptional natural beauty, with unique access to a recently – old cobbled path – on the rocks of the harbor separating it from the main beach of Horefto. Parisaina is protected by NATURA 2000 law [Code GR1430001].
